Product of the Week!! Talika Eye Dream-Bedtime EyeMask

During sleep, the delicate skin around your eyes loses up to 50 percent of its moisture. This dehydration will cause you to age prematurely, as if you dont prevent this it will cause fine lines turning into wrinkles. There are many reason for ageing around the eyes, diet, lifestyle, genes, etc but if you can help keep the area moisturised this will definitely help with the ageing process, not to mention your makeup will sit better.
Talika experts in eye care introduces Eye Dream, a leave-on eye mask specially formulated for sleep. Talika Eye Dream blankets the under-eye area and eye contours with hydrating ingredients, active botanical, and peptides to help lock in moisture and rejuvenate the skin, from the moment you drift off to the minute you awake.
By pampering the skin with the premium hydrating and regenerative ingredients found in Talika Eye Dream, it’s now possible to transform bedtime into an eight-hour long spa treatment for the eyes.

From Work to Christmas Party in one easy step...

The Festive Season is here and the Christmas Parties are stacking up!

The easiest way to go from desk to dancefloor is with a quick lip fix. Bright Lips are hot for summer and dresses up any outfit. My favourite go to colours at the moment are, Vegas Volt - MAC, Impassioned- MAC, Lady Danger - MAC, Girl About Town - MAC, Strawberry Suede - Revlon, Red Squared - NARS, Blazing Red 638 - Dior

My hot tips for a 5 minute refresh are:

- Start the day with simple and natural eyes. This will help save time later when you add your bright lip
- After work remove foundation with a face wipe, leaving on eye makeup
- Moisturise and re-apply foundation
- Add Bronzer all over face and blush to the apples for an added a glow
- Then apply your favourite shade of Bright Lipstick

You are now ready to rock your christmas party in under 5 minutes! Just dont get too drunk and hit on your boss!

Summer is nearly here so lets get BRONZED and enjoy the heat! My favourite look for summer is a natural sunkissed makeup. Favourite Product of the Week!! Nars Hanamichi Eyeshadow Palette

NARS interprets the dramatic kabuki eye with a modern and magnificent palette of high-impact, richly saturated hues for highlighting, shading and lining the eye. Accompanied by a hand-spun wisteria-wrapped kabuki eye brush and encased in an elegant pouch. This Palette is so versatile that I am also using the white as an illuminator for the cheek bone, you can use your finger and rub gently onto the skin. The pink can be used as a blush, it looks amazing on darker skin tones. Its limited edition and my new favourite product of the week! Hanamichi Eyeshadow Palette

Latest and Greatest: Kevin Murphy Colour Bug!!

It been out for a couple of months now, Kevin Murphy's Colour Bug is awesome!! You might have seen the latest trend in hair is colour tipping. Well this product will help you achieve it without a costly trip to the salon. It washes out at the next shampoo, and comes in a range of coulours to suit your hair and individual style.

Step One: Place a towel around your shoulders to protect your clothes from possible spillage. I didnt read the instructions first and got it all over my friends top. It did come out but just in case.

Step Two : There are 2 ways to apply to the hair. Now if you are putting on bleached pourous hair it could grab so its best to put a leave in conditioner to act as a barrier so it wont stain the hair. Just spray the leave in conditioner where you want the colour to go, and gently rub the colour bug of choice into the hair. The more you put in the more intense the colour. On darker hair you wont need to put the leave in conditioner in. Make sure you spray the hair with hairspray to seal it.

It comes in 3 colours Pink, Orange and Purple. The Pink is quite vibrant in both dark and light coloured hair. Where as the orange looks natural in dark hair. Have fun experiment, mix it up, use all three at once!! It retails at $24.95 and its worth every penny!! Loving Kevin Murphy Colour Bug

On Trend: Loving the Ponytail!!

I am loving the Ponytail at the moment! There are so many ways to wear a ponytail, depending on your hair length and condition. Create a ponytail to suit your mood and individual style. One of my favourites is slick pony with a messy tail. You will need a few things before you start. Tail comb, Hairdryer, 2 round brushes, Elastics, Thermal setting lotion, depending on hair condition, some Moroccan Oil, Section clips, and some Hairspray. I think the ponytail works best when you have prepped the hair first, so a bouncy blow wave works best for this look. Start with freshly washed hair and spray thermal setting lotion or Moroccan Oil into the hair. Divide into small sections and using the round brushes blow wave each section and leave the brush in as long as possible. Blow wave all the hair and when at the top make sure your blow waving fringe area back, so it is easier to slick down.

Using the Tail comb brush the hair straight back, using the hairspray to keep it tight to the head. Spray and comb till its evenly slick. Put the hair tye in at whatever height you want it, and make sure its tight. The ends should be flicky and the pony should be slick. Its hard to explain how to do a ponytail, but the best part it there are no rules. This is just a guide line to help you.

Racing Inspired! :Keep your makeup in tact and win on and off the track!

Want to look fresh all day at the races....in a perfect world you would have a Makeup Artist following you around, touching you up during the day. But most of us don't have that luxury....so here is a few tips to keep you looking fresher for longer...
I find makeup lasts longer if the skin is prepped and primed. Use a good moisturiser, whatever suits your skin type. You need a primer, there are so many on the market, I like Beauty Flash Balm from Clarins. It brightens the skin and gives it a nice glow. Laura Mercier Foundation Primer is another fave, its water based and enriched with vitamins to help protect against environmental elements. It feels like velvet and is suitable to all skin types. Don't forget to set your foundation with a translucent powder.
Eyes: To prime your eyelids for eyeshadow, I like to use the MAC Paint Pots. They come in a range of colours to suit your makeup and all skin tones. Just apply over the lid, powder and apply eyeshadow as usual.
Cheeks: If you apply a cream blush first then a powder it will last longer. I just love love love the By Terry sheer liquid blush. You only need to apply a little bit and it gives such a beautiful glow, and smells like roses. Then powder with either a bronzer or blush to hold it in place. I love the Nars Orgasm it works with every makeup and gives the appearance of a healthy rosy cheek.
Lips: I find all those long last lipsticks quite drying, so I just use my lip liner and colour in the whole lip. Then add the lipstick, followed by the gloss. But unfortunately eating and drinking at the races will mean that you will have to top up during the day. One Last thing I recommend.....take some blot papers with you. There are easy to carry and instead of adding powder when you get shiny they blot away shine and keep your makeup untouched, so you don't end up looking cakey!! Try the MAC blot paper or The Body Shop blot paper.  You can also just chuck them out after use. Well I hope this keeps you looking fresh at the races even though you might not feel it.!!

Racing Inspired and how to avoid looking Tandoori!

The races are here!! You don't have to always follow the rules. I love a headpiece, I would wear one everyday if I could! One thing is for sure....take it easy on the fake tan!! Nothing worse than seeing Tandoori Chicken legs! If your going to get a spray tan go lighter and use a cream body bronzer on the day. I love the Sportsgirl bronzer, its cheap and easy to apply and smells great! Just apply 10 minutes before you get dressed so it doesn't rub off onto your clothes. If your applying fake tan on yourself make sure your skin has been thoroughly moisturised, but not right before. Best thing to do is moisturise in the morning, then apply fake tan at night. I love the Loreal Sublime Bronze gel. It doesn't smell like fake tan and its easy to apply, you just need to keep rubbing it in till there is no residue. Leave hand and feet till after you wash your hands thoroughly. I then use an old paint brush and get a little bit of fake tan on brush and paint my hands and feet leaving the toes and fingers till last so there is only residue left. (slightly bend fingers and toes) Wait 15 minutes then put some loose clothes on.
